Which is the prettiest Balearic island?

Which is the prettiest Balearic island?

Formentera is not a hidden gem, but it is significantly less frequented than its party, party, party sister island of Ibiza. It is, in reality, the smallest of Spain's Balearic islands, and in my opinion, the most beautiful. The landscape is dominated by mountains covered in pine trees, with deep valleys and caves where you will find remnants of ancient Roman settlements.

If you visit Formentera, you should definitely spend some time on the mountain tops, where you will find quiet spots for lunch or dinner, away from tourists and traditional island restaurants that serve mainly seafood. There are many small villages on Formentera, each with their own unique character. Esporles is one of my favorites, with its narrow streets full of colorful shops and cafés.

The people of Formentera are known for being hospitable and kind, which makes them perfect guests if you offer your house to them for free. However, like all good things, they can be difficult to find, so make sure you get the address for any recommended hotels or restaurants from someone who has been there before you.

Formentera is a great place to relax and have a break from busy life on the mainland, but only if you avoid the crowds and go during off-peak times. If you can't do that, then this beautiful island might just be another stop on your trip around Europe.

Which is the least touristy of the Canary Islands?

Palma de Mallorca, La Palma, El Hierro, and La Gomera are the Canary Islands' three smallest islands. They are also the least frequented and'spoiled'. The other islands more than make up for it in beauty and excitement though.

The best place to visit on these islands is probably the Balearic Museum in Palma de Mallorca which has a great collection of paintings by all the major players in the history of art in Spain. It's also very well done with English captions so everyone can enjoy it equally.

These islands have much to offer those looking for adventure and activity rather than just relaxing beaches. There are many hiking trails to be found across all of them with stunning views everywhere you look. If you're a fan of wine then head to the island of La Palma where there are several wineries that open their doors to visitors. And for those who like to dance the samba, El Hierro is for you!

The Canary Islands' three small islands offer a unique experience not to be missed by any traveler to Spain. They are perfect if you want to relax and do nothing but still have an exciting time.

Which Canary Island is the prettiest?

Palma de Mallorca, La Palma is perhaps the most attractive of the Canary Islands, with a multitude of wonderful treks and spectacular views. Despite being less well-known for their beaches, the spectacular black sand beaches are a delight to discover. The island is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, which means that its natural heritage is protected. It's home to several important wildlife sites including one of Europe's largest colonies of seagulls!

The best time to visit La Palma is between April and October, when it's not too hot or cold.

There are regular flights from London to Palma de Mallorca, as well as connections with other major cities in Spain. The flight takes about an hour.

To get from one part of the island to another it's easiest to hire a car, but buses connect many of the main towns on the island.

The Canary Islands have some of the highest rates of tourism in Spain and can be very busy during peak season (spring and autumn). Try to avoid visiting during school holidays or public holidays; these tend to be very crowded.

If you want to see some stunning scenery without any tourists around then try to come to La Palma during its off-season (the winter months). It gets quite chilly at night in December and January so make sure to bring something warm to wear.
