Outside food or drink, other than water, is not permitted, unless for medical reasons. Large bags, baggage, and musical instruments are not permitted within the museum.
Bags must be clear plastic or leather with no straps longer than 4 inches. Rubber bands are not permissible because they can get stuck in security machines.
There is a charge of $25 per item for any type of bag or container brought into the Museum. This includes all luggage, shopping bags, bookbags, purses, diaper bags, attaché cases, guitar carry-ons, and equipment carried by visitors. This fee is added to your bill at the end of your visit.
If you have a large number of items that require checking into the cargo hold, it may be best to leave them at home. A staff member will be able to provide information about whether or not this policy has changed since the last time you visited the Museum.
Exceptions: If you have a medical condition that requires you to carry medication or fluids with you throughout the Museum, a staff member will be happy to provide information about bringing these items into the building.
If you have a stroller or wheelchair, you can enter with your item(s).
Backpacks and large luggage are not permitted inside the Colosseum. Expect to be subjected to a security check, which may include a metal detector. For your safety, do not bring any unnecessary items into the arena with you.
Colosseo is a major tourist attraction in Rome. If you try to enter without a valid ticket or if you're found carrying an object that could be used as a weapon, you will be denied access to the event.
The Colosseum is one of Italy's most popular museums and sites to see in Rome. It can get extremely busy so it is important to allow enough time to see everything. There are several different exhibitions running at any one time so make sure you read up on what's on before you go to avoid missing out on some of the more interesting ones.
If you want to take photos inside the Colosseum then you should do so during one of the shows or when there are special exhibits running. Otherwise you will have to pay an extra fee for taking photographs.
The Colosseum has two levels: the ground floor and the balcony level. The ground floor contains shops and restaurants while the balcony level consists of two galleries where events are held throughout the year.
It is permissible to bring a backpack into the park. Lockers are provided throughout the park, and each ride has designated locations where bags and other loose goods can be left while riding. Snacks and beverages are permitted as well. We only ask that no glass containers or alcoholic beverages be included. Packets of any kind (including those for rides) may not be taken into the park.
There are several areas in the park where bags can be left if you do not want to carry them with you on an attraction. Bags left at these locations will not be charged for storage.
Bag checkers will occasionally go through bags looking for items that have been left behind by visitors. If anything suspicious is found, the bag will be confiscated and the contents will be searched thoroughly before being returned to its owner. Any item that could be used as a weapon, such as a sharp object or gun, will not be allowed into the park.
Silver Dollar City does offer free parking for guests who may not want to carry their bags into the park. The free parking is available in three different areas: near the entrance of the park, near the Golden Eagle restaurant, and near the Town Square theater.
Guests are required to display their photo ID when checking their bags in order to verify that they are over 18 years old. Children under the age of two cannot be carried into the park in strollers or baby carriers.
